Welcome to another round of Spill it, Sundays Flashback edition!
This week’s theme took abit of a different trend- the last three weeks we have showcased our own highlighted posts or recipes. This time? We highlight other bloggers posts/recipes/rants- anything which has resonated with us or made us drool or for me- the post having a back story to it.
Not sure what Spill it, Sundays is about? Check out the details here!
Meghan’s post– WIAW- The Verbal Purge Edition
This post is one from Meg’s archives and to date- one of my all time favourite blog posts ever. I can relate to it, because many times, I used to question my place within the ‘Healthy Living’ community because of my choices which often got shunned.
Lindsay’s recipe– Homemade soft pretzels
I promised Lindsay I’d make her soft pretzels as my first step into using yeast. They were amazing. They also made enough to feed an army. In honour of her birthday, I used the leftovers to make a Mediterranean Savoury Bread Pudding.
Davida’s post- Thai Turkey Sliders with Peanut Sauce
So I’m not highlighting this post because of the recipe (which is amazing by the way- I made them in full burger form!) but of the content within in- Davida mentioned myself as one of her ‘co-workers’ (probably meant slave but that’s a story for another time) and really cemented why I’m stoked to have become apart of this community.
Amanda’s post- Why I’m not working for a bikini body this Summer
Refreshing to read a blogger who is up in the Northern Hemisphere going against the typical around this time and not striving for something which has little importance to her- something which once perhaps would have absorbed a majority of her day.
Lee’s post- Brownie Batter Peanut Butter Swirl Oatmeal
This was the first recipe/post I read of Lee and it’s been downhill from there. Just kidding. Not only does this recipe look amazing but it actually tastes like Brownie Batter. No false advertising with blogger recipes here.
Meghan’s recipe- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Granola
True story- I was fortunate to see this recipe handwritten before it hit the interwebs. I should have posted it beforehand and claimed it as my own.
Another true story- It’s a hit. The nut to oat ratio is spot on. That’s what…He said?
Lindsay Cotter’s post- Feeding the Adrenals
Adrenal Fatigue is so often underestimated and even overlooked- I suffered symptoms throughout this year and Linds highlighted ways to combat it!
Juli’s recipe- Grain Free Hash Brown Lasagna
Juli has some of the best recipes in her archives and it was this recipe which may, perhaps, make me consider giving sweet potatoes another chance!
Chelsea’s post– Is coconut oil good for you?
Chelsea is a newly (educationally) crowned dietician and thus, LOVED this post- she highlighted facts about coconut oil but reiterated that is it NOT some miracle magic dietary addition. Personally, butter > coconut oil.
Be sure to check out the other’s who have linked up their favourites!
