Happy Wednesday aka the day we can gawk at one another’s meals and salivate like Pavlov does when he hears a bell ring.
Since moving here, as much as I do enjoy eating out, my budget does not allow this to happen very often. I’m fortunate to have three supermarkets all in close proximity to me so cooking my own meals most of the time is not an issue. When it comes to quick, easy and delicious meal ideas- I have them. When it comes to putting them into practice most of the time, well…..
I love sandwiches. Love them. If I could pick one type of bread it would clearly be a flatbread of some sort. That’s due to a few reasons but one of them is the fact that (Depending on the brand), they are doughy, delicious and durable and are perfect to fill with whatever you’re craving- Something which the Flatout Bread range delivered.
However over time, I stopped buying it and starting choosing the less flavourful flatbreads available. Why? Because as a male, I started to notice is the pink and purple packaging followed by a mentioning on it of ‘Hungry Girl.’
Hungry girl? But I’m a hungry boy! Was I committing taboo by enjoying these wraps?
This had to stop. Why stop myself from enjoying something just because of it’s packaging? Besides, they had this new Fold It range which looked perfect to toast, grill or even eat on its own. The team at Flatout told me that when it came to their male audience, the biggest question they had was- ‘What do I eat?’
Well, I’m here to show my fellow lads (and ladies too!) out there that with Flatout Foldit– The possibilities are endless. Want proof? I spent one day eating ONLY Flatout Foldits.- without resorting to the standard turkey and swiss. BOOM.
The day I ate Flat Out foldits….for all my meals.
Ready. Set. Go.
1 Flatout Foldit (Traditional White) + cottage cheese + peanut butter chips.
My new routine here involves me waking up pretty early (hello, productivity) and then hitting the gym before breakfast. I used to swear by training fasted but found that with the time between waking up and working out, I needed something.
This fit the bill.
Breakfast- 2 Flatout Foldit (Rosemary + Olive Oil) + 3 hard boiled eggs + butter
Some goose at the supermarket told me whipped butter was better than…non whipped butter. They lied. I have to literally scoop it like ice cream to get a decent amount.
Snack- 1 Flatout Foldit (Rosemary + Olive Oil) with pesto + sundried tomatoes
Wastage, be gone!
Lunch- 2 Flatout Foldits (Rosemary + Olive Oil) + BBQ’d tofu strips + grilled zucchini
This was pretty epic if I do say so myself. The tofu was leftover from my birthday barbecue (my friend grilled 4-5 blocks of it after asking who liked tofu. I was the only one) and grilled zucchini which was for a recipe experiment which was supposed to be sweet but I accidentally added salt.
A worthwhile accident.
Snack- 1 Flatout Foldit (Traditional White) + grilled granola + homemade vegan chocolate spread.
That chocolate spread? I need to share. It’s beyond amazing.
Dinner- 2 Flatout Foldits (Rosemary + Olive Oil) with 2 cheese sticks in each one grilled in a sandwich press (post picture).
Confession- Laziness got the best of me before dinner but when I saw cheese strings….voila. Two per Flatout fold it for ultimate dairy perfection.
Pre bed- 1 Flatout Foldit (Rosemary + Olive Oil) + Peanut Butter + dairy free chocolate chips and salted peanuts.
….because who said you can’t have a sandwich before bed?
And that’s …..a wrap.
That was lame. You’re not. Link up your full day of eats and let’s party.
What would YOU put in your wrap?
Ever tried a Flatout Fold it?
Would you eat a different wrap for every meal?
