Oh hi, almost end of March.
I don’t want to be cliche and lament about how time is flying but yes…it is, and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon.
It’s been an exciting few weeks, both professionally and personally. The most obvious being the release of my first cookbook, Clean Sweets. Since it’s release on March 14th, I’ve been floored with the love, support and positive feedback on it. I’ve loved seeing recreations shared on Instagram and Facebook, and those of you reaching out via email, text and carrier pidgeon.
When I first heard from my book editor and publishing team that my cookbook had become available for pre-release in bookstores and online, there was something I promised myself I wouldn’t do.
I promised myself that I would want all pre-sales and purchases to be organic. Yes, I definitely did some promotion on social media, but when it came to friends and family, I wanted them to buy it because THEY wanted to; not because it was encouraged or hinted on my end.
Since its release, I have been absolutely floored and touched that many of my blogging buddies have not only purchased their own copy but have shared it with their friends, shared it on social media and have personally reached out with how much they are enjoying the recipes.
Just a quick shout-out to these epic legends…
If you’ve grabbed your copy of CLEAN SWEETS, please be sure to tag me with your recreations- I’d love to see and share them!
Recently…on the blog!
There have been some epic recipes on here, amidst all the cookbook talk!

Savory snacking just got better with these oil-free and crispy roasted chickpeas. Bonus? There are 4 flavor options too!
These healthy fudge bars are adapted from one of my favorite recipes in the Clean Sweets cookbook– Using just 4 Ingredients and ready in minutes!
Posts I’ve been loving….
I Have been changed for Food- This hit so many relatable points, and further enhanced my feelings of full-time blogging and where TBMW will be moving in the future.
I’m happier without Instagram- I’m scheduling an Instagram break soon…not that I’m on it as much as others, but still!

34 Easy Ways to Lose Weight- There is so much media hype out there on the plethora of ways to lose weight, many of them ridiculous. This piece NAILS it by mocking some of the more ‘popular’ ones.
“Buy whole wheat pasta. When you have a carb craving, dig the pointed end of an uncooked noodle into your palm until the craving passes.”
“Instead of eating five to six small meals and working out once per day, eat one small meal and work out five to six times per day.”
“Make dessert something you have only to celebrate special occasions like bicentennials, Halley’s Comet sightings, etc.”
“Instead of drinking that sugary coffee drink, pour it out on your hands so they’re scalded and you’re unable to pick up food or utensils for a little while.”
Recipes I’ve been digging…
This mac and cheese is so creamy, I’d eat it straight from the pot!
Ever wondered how to prep a spaghetti squash? I’m loving this super simple tutorial!
Want an exclusive recipe from the CLEAN SWEETS cookbook? My mate Dave made the strawberry shortcake!
My two favorite snacks are popcorn and granola. Now you can have BOTH at the same time!
I kind of suck at taking personal photos, but swiped these off my Instagram stories feed. Since my book deadline ended, I’ve been embracing the newer amount of freedom! Over the past few weeks, I’ve enjoyed several POKE lunch dates, a Persian dinner with my family and even trying out an overrated brunch place.
It was very overrated and the beetroot hummus was orange.
I’ll be bringing back more of these catch-up posts, especially with more news to come in the coming weeks!
Have an epic start to the week, friends!
