Something I’ve learnt through my time blogging- Make sure when you read WIAW posts you are either-
1. About to eat a meal
2. Eating a meal concurrently
3. Are too stressed to eat
Living solo, to keep myself entertained during dinner during the week, I often serve it with a side of blog reading. Wednesday reading…it should be mandatory. Please tell me I’m not alone in this boat. This is week 2 of #WholeArman and continuing to work on my goals for this challenge!
Before we jump into it- It’s my amazing blend Amy’s Birthday today! And, if I had my way, she’d be visiting Australia to celebrate quarter century living. To compensate in the mean time, I’m going to eat potatoes with all my main meals for the next week in her honour. Just call me Mr. Potato head. And wish her a happy birthday!
Breakfast- Garlic oil roasted kabocha with cinnamon, raw almonds and cheddar cheese cubes.
Focus on fats- Garlic oil to roast the kabocha, raw almonds and cheddar cheese.
Lunch- Tupperware at work- Curried tuna patties, raw carrots, olive oil roasted Brussels sprouts and roasted butternut pumpkin and peppers topped with garlic salt, cumin and red pepper flakes.
Focus on fats- Butter to fry the tuna patties and olive oil roasted vegetables
Snack(S)- boiled eggs, 1 almond butter sachet, microwave grain free English muffin and some random carrots left in the bag.
Focus on fats- eggs, almond butter, whole egg in the microwave English muffin and topped with extra almond butter.
Dinner- Garlic oil roasted potatoes and basa fillets pan fried in olive oil with a cumin, sea salt and pepper rub. This was my first time trying this fish- Not the biggest fan.
Focus on fats- Garlic oil and olive oil for frying the fish.
Pre bed- 1 scoop of casein protein powder mixed with almond milk into a pudding like consistency and topped with cashew butter.
So that rounds out the start of week 2 of eating this style- It’s still in the testing phase and I’m hoping to tackle the final 2 weeks with the latter 2 goals (decreased protein powder and less snacking) before the end! Big props to Jenn for hosting- be sure to stop by let them mouths water!
