PSSSSSSST. Did you guys check out my latest recipe shared Friday? It’s officially November so these no bake bites NEED to happen.

***

To everyone who told me the maple/almond combination was a winner and I scoffed them off- I am sorry and I have fudge to make up for it.

However, hear a brother out.

I’ve tried my fair share of flavored nut butter and 9 times out of 10, I’ve been disappointed. Call me a basic bro (lol) or just non-fancy but I like my salted, crunchy peanut butter and basic salted nut butter. Not to mention that these flavored peanut butter or insert nut butter of choice costs twice or three times as much as their unflavored counterpart- You can understand the lack of appeal there.

Four weeks ago, I was at the local health food store and gave the “b*tch please” sign to the nut butter aisle because I had my jif’s waiting for me at home to faceplant. It was as though the nut butters were spiting me- At the front counter, were single serve sachets of flavored nut butters, one of which was an almond butter flavored with maple. I mentally rolled my eyes (I couldn’t physically do it in front of the store owner) and picked up one randomly and added it to my grocery pile- As a sample pack and 1/8th of the cost of a standard jar- It couldn’t be helped.

I got home, ripped open the package and spread the maple flavored almond butter over some toast. To be completely honest, I wasn’t obsessed with the texture- However, the flavor combination of the almond butter paired with maple syrup was AMAZING. I’d had peanut butter with maple syrup (on pancakes, made into bars, no bake bites etc)before but never this combination. While peanut butter was good, the almond butter took it up and notch and I was besotted (ignore my circa English class 2006 wording right there).

I wanted to try the combination in my go to three ingredient fudge recipe, subbing the cashew butter for almond and friends- I am officially the biggest goose. I should have gone with this from the start- Almond meal and almond butter > Almond meal and cashew butter. Enter- Healthy No Bake Three Ingredient Maple Almond Fudge.

This healthy three ingredient maple almond fudge is a replica of my original three ingredient paleo fudge, but using almond butter to amp up the flavor. This soft, rich and melt in your mouth fudge is your quick and easy fix for something sweet or a healthy snack/dessert to have on hand- It also requires no need to turn on the oven- It’s no bake! It’s also tailored to fit most dietary lifestyles- It’s naturally paleo, vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free!

HACK! While it IS technically three ingredients, do me a favor- Amp up the flavor by adding a dash of vanilla extract- Trust me on this one.

How ‘basic’ are you when it comes to nut butters?

  1. is the a way to keep it firm out or refrigerator it gets so soft too quick id like to be able to put it out at a party its amazingly good

    1. Hi Nick! It does tend to soften quickly, I’d recommend freezing it beforehand if you intend it to be out for a longer period of time 🙂

  2. Would these be okay sitting out at room temperature? I was thinking og taking them to a church dinner this weekend, but I wondered how they would hold up. Thx in advance 🙂

    1. Hi Jennifer! It would be okay, but only if it’s frozen beforehand. If possible, I’d really recommend you keep them refrigerated 🙂

    1. Hi Angelique- The coconut oil is necessary here to firm up- Others have tried it with butter or avocado oil, but I cannot personally vouch for it 🙂

  3. This Three Ingredient Maple Fudge looks wonderful and I have just printed out the recipe. The picture looks like there is sea salt sprinkled on top but nowhere in the recipe does it call for sea salt.
