You guys know that the market is saturated with supplements, weight management products, weight loss products, weight gain products and general nutritional goodies. From my personal experience, I’d only really been accustomed to products which focused on one specific target (e.g. weight loss, general nutrition, mass gain).

When Bowflex Body reached out to collaborate- I was intrigued by their product range. The team at Bowflex Body have a range of products targeted towards various groups- Those who are finding difficult when it comes to fitness motivation, those who are in need of some assistance with weight loss or those like myself- Generally interested it fitness and always looking for ways to to use or add protein products.

What was unique with the Bowflex Body range was their protein range- They start with a base French Vanilla Shake which on it’s own, was delicious. The unique twist was it’s offering of three blends which could aid the base- Rich Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Mixed Berry. While all flavours were delicious, the peanut butter addition was by far the winner here. What I loved about the peanut butter one was the addition of one of my all time favourite ingredients- Peanut flour!

While I’m not the biggest fan of drinking my protein, I am a fan of adding it IN recipes- Like this delicious one below. I followed the BowFlex Body protocol and used the base of French Vanilla and added the peanut butter booster- 10 extra grams of protein AND the delicious peanut butter taste. This Healthy Peanut Butter Cup Rice Pudding is the new breakfast grain dish to add to repertoire. It takes less than 10 minutes to whip up which can be done the night before to have a delicious, pudding like meal ready for you! These are gluten free, sugar free and dairy free too! For those who follow a vegan lifestyle, there are substitutions in the recipe! Bonus- I know some readers follow a low carb diet and a kind reader from Instagram mentioned they tried out my first rice pudding recipe using miracle rice– A low carb rice substitute. While I can’t personally vouch for it, they seemed to enjoy it and it is consistently on their meal rotation!

For those not keen on a sweet pudding like breakfast, make a big batch of this and divvy it up in small bowls as a post dinner treat- Adding some of these chocolate chips won’t be the worst idea either. I’ve tried my fair share of cocoa powders and this dark cocoa powder is my absolute favourite- It’s rich, tastier and really meshes well with the peanut butter flavour

  1. Chocolate and PB is the best combo ever. I’m not a fan of sweet breakfasts, but this would make a tasty dessert for sure!
I’m not really a supplement person, but I love protein powders. I also remember to take a multivitamin like twice a week before forgetting.

    1. oh God. The last time I went to America I bought a 30 pack of 1 a day tablets. I returned home with 15 and was there for 6 months.

  2. WHAA! You mean I have have peanut butter cups for breakfast and still be able to go the the beach this year? I want to marry this bowl of goodness fer real. Pinned!

  3. The PB protein sounds really interesting. Definitely a new product to me. Love the recipe you created with it! You know I’m all about the PB and chocolate, so this has gotten my name written all over it!

  4. This is healthy??! It looks like the most delicious dessert ever! Love that dark chocolate color!! What an awesome recipe!

  5. OMG i am 100% trying this.. with PB2 AND peanut butter flavored protein. #ihatepeanutbutter and I’m going to have it for breakfast and dessert.

Also. we share the same affinity for Hershey’s special dark cocoa. I actually laugh in the face of anyone recommending using “regular” cocoa powder. scoffing at the underwhelming richness of poor man’s chocolate.

Def should have invested in a rice cooker to make this in bulk…

  6. I have never been able to make rice pudding. My husband jokes that it is the only thing that I can’t cook, but this looks pretty simple. Surely, even I can’t mess this up.

  7. Wow, what a delicious way to get your protein in! It’s been ages since I’ve made rice pudding. I’m definitely taking your cue on ingredients next time I do Arman.

  8. I don’t take any supplement but yum to this this recipe! Chocolate and peanut butter are my fave combination 🙂

    1. 😉 I have a recipe you’ll love coming up- It also includes your other favourite- The humble sweet potato. 😉

  9. I’m with ya here, Arman! I’m not a huge fan of drinking my protein, either…but if I can get that same protein in a bowl of this peanut butter cup rice pudding? Well, then sign me up! Pass that bowl over here. Nice and slow so that no one gets hurt in the process. 🙂

  10. This looks sooo amazing! Dessert for breakfast is seriously the best thing ever, actually dessert for every meal would be a dream come true for me.:P

Basically anything with chocolate in it, even better is chocolate+pb which is definitely a match made in heaven.

  11. Arman, another find sweet and healthy treat. I wouldn’t mind a big bowl of this in the morning or afternoon! Have a wonderful weekend my friend, Catherine
