The Best Healthy Clean Eating No Bake Snacks (Paleo, Vegan, Gluten Free) Quick, easy and protein-packed snacks and desserts which require no baking! Dairy free and sugar free too! Bonus? They ALL work with a variety of Silk’s nut milk, soy milk and non-dairy yogurt range!


Just two days ago, I shared these super thick and fluffy blueberry smoothie pancakes using a new to me ingredient- Silk’s Protein Nut Milk. I’m excited to continue in with a series of posts and recipes showcasing their ENTIRE range of products!

Long term readers have often asked me what kind of ‘milk’ I prefer when I state ‘milk of choice’ in the recipe cards. With so many milk varieties on the market, it can be confusing. Moreover, some kinds of milk (dairy, coconut, canned) can yield very different results.

From my personal experience and my recipe collection, I can confidently say that I always use either unsweetened original or unsweetened almond milk.

Not only do they keep my recipes vegan and dairy free, they also don’t result in thicker or more clumped bars, bites, and cookies.

Actually, let me double check my kitchen, because I use a variety of their products in my day-to-day eating. I switched to strictly using Silk non-dairy products about two years ago, when I wanted to cut back on dairy, but wanted an alternative that actually TASTED good and made me FEEL good. For those of us who eat dairy regularly, know that it can often be hit and miss! 

Here is an example of how I use Silk’s products every-single-day! 

Pre-breakfast coffee- I use the unsweetened almond milk (hot coffee) or the unsweetened coconut milk (cold).

Breakfast- You will ALWAYS find their vanilla almond milk in my oatmeal, made into a carrot cake smoothie, or even using their yogurt in some Greek Yogurt Brownies!

Lunch and sides- I often make salad dressings and use Silk’s unsweetened original almond milk in my dressings, or sometimes a spoonful or two of their plain yogurt

Now? I’ve become such a fan of their Protein Nutmilk, I enjoy drinking it on its own- Something I’d never have done with the milk I’d drank growing up!
