My air fryer bananas are perfectly caramelized, sweet, and gooey. They make an easy dessert or snack and are delicious on their own or served with ice cream or yogurt.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Line the basket with parchment paper or use an air fryer liner.
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt until you have a thick, glossy paste.
Place the banana halves in the air fryer basket, sliced side up. Spread the brown sugar paste over each one, ensuring as much of the surface is covered.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Check at the 6 minute mark.
Remove the caramelized bananas from the air fryer basket and serve with ice cream, frozen yogurt, custard, or whipped cream.
Notes
Leftovers: Once the bananas have cooled, place them in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to two days. Any longer and the bananas will soften too much. To reheat, I usually just zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds, but you can use the air fryer at 350°F for two minutes.
