This McPlant burger recipe is a copycat of the brand new vegan and vegetarian burger offered at select McDonald's stores! A vegan burger filled with all the classic McDonald's burger trimmings, this homemade version is SO much better!

1/4cupketchup
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonpepper
1/2teaspoondried rosemary
1tablespoonolive oil
For the burgers
4vegan brioche buns
4slicesAmerican cheesevegan American cheese slices
1largetomatothickly sliced
1/4cuplettuce
2tablespoonspickles
1/4largeonionfinely chopped
1tablespoonketchup
1tablespoonyellow mustard
1tablespoonvegan mayonnaiseoptional
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the burger patty ingredients and mix well. Using your hands, form four patties.
Grease a non-stick pan and place it over medium heat. Once hot, add the burger patties and cook for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once cooked, place them on a plate lined with paper towel.
Assemble the burgers. Split your vegan brioche buns and on the top side, spread the ketchup, mustard, and vegan mayonnaise. On the bottom side, place the vegan beef patty, vegan American cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickles, and chopped onion. Place the top on the bottom and serve immediately.
Notes
Assembled burgers should not be refrigerated or frozen, or else they will become soggy. * Beyond meat ground is what is used in McDonald's McPlant burgers and what we used for this recipe. Other vegan ground beef substitutes will also work. TO STORE: Leftover McPlant burger patties can be stored in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days.TO REHEAT: Place cooked and cooled patties in a ziplock bag and store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
