Line a large plate with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, add the almond butter, maple syrup, and cocoa powder and and mix well. If adding chocolate chips, fold them through at the end.
Using your hands, roll into small bite-sized balls. Place balls on the lined plate and refrigerate or freeze until firm.
Notes
TO STORE: Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. TO FREEZE: Place them in a ziplock bag and freeze for up to six months. Let them thaw briefly in the fridge.
