My air fryer s’mores are my family’s favorite hack for enjoying this campfire staple all year round. They’re easy to make, need only three ingredients, and turn out crispy, gooey, and chocolatey. Bonus? They take just three minutes.

Why you need to make my air fryer s’mores

Air frying s’mores was created out of a desperate need to satisfy my family’s s’mores cravings.
Since you can’t always break out a campfire whenever you want one (sadly), I’ve had to get creative. I use the air fryer to cook the s’mores, so the crackers stay crisp and light, while the melty chocolate and gooey marshmallows cook together. Now, we can have s’mores ANY night of the week!
These air-fried s’mores are easy to customize, and you can make them with any crackers or chocolate you prefer. I made these for some friends in Australia, and we used Digestive cookies and even Wheat Thins. Bonus? The only clean-up is throwing out the parchment paper at the end!

Key ingredients
- Graham crackers. I’m a sucker for classic Graham crackers, but you could use chocolate graham crackers or gingersnaps if that’s what you have on hand.
- Marshmallows. They’ll need to be sliced in half so the sticky end adheres to the cracker.
- Milk chocolate. I used Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, but you can use dark chocolate or white chocolate if you prefer.
How to make air fryer s’mores
This is an overview with step-by-step photos. Full ingredients & instructions are in the recipe card below.

Step 1- Place four crackers in the basket. Add marshmallow halves on each cracker.

Step 2- Air fry the crackers and marshmallows until the marshmallows have slightly melted.

Step 3- Place one piece of chocolate on each marshmallow. Allow it to melt slightly.

Step 4- Place a cracker on top, and pinch to stick the s’more together.
Arman’s recipe tips
- Line the basket with parchment paper. This is my #1 tip. Sometimes marshmallows melt a little quicker and seep over the crackers, so crunch up some parchment paper and line the air fryer with it.
- Keep the Graham crackers apart. Once the marshmallows warm up, they expand and they can stick to the other marshmallows if they are too close together.
- Place the sticky side of the marshmallow down on top of the graham cracker so it sticks. I forgot to do this once, and the hot air circulating blew the marshmallows off the crackers…
- Use marshmallow fluff instead. I know this may be blasphemy to some, but I find using fluff can be a bit less messy than using whole marshmallows.

Air Fryer S’mores
Equipment
Ingredients
- 8 Graham crackers
- 4 marshmallows halved
- 4 squares chocolate I used one-ounce pieces
Instructions
- Place four crackers in a basket and place one marshmallow half on each cracker. Place the sticky side of the halved marshmallow on a cracker so it can stick to it.
- Air fry for 3 minutes, or until the marshmallow is golden brown on top.
- Remove the crackers from the air fryer basket and place one chocolate square on each marshmallow. Allow it to melt for 20-30 seconds. Place another Graham cracker on each one and enjoy.
Notes
- Mix-ins. Add banana slices, fresh strawberries, Nutella, or caramel for more flavor.
- Use different chocolates. Instead of plain chocolate squares, use candy bars. I made s’mores with a Reese’s peanut butter cup once, and let me say, life-changing!
