About the Blog & Recipes
I created The Big Man’s World 10 years ago. It’s a food blog dedicated to sharing EASY healthy recipes that satisfy a multitude of diets.
- The recipes you’ll find here fit all meal courses, including dinner recipes, dessert recipes, breakfast recipes, and snacks. They are all secretly healthy, full of wholesome ingredients, with a focus on nutritious swaps.
- We specialize in air fryer recipes, chicken recipes, beef recipes, seafood recipes, and dinners in under 30 minutes.
- Every recipe has been tested multiple times by myself and my team of professionally trained cooks (and my friends and family!). The recipes have been made by millions of readers worldwide.
- You’ll also find plenty of indulgent recipes too. I mean, they are great for the soul.
- Please note: While I have a background in food and nutrition (university minor in Food and Nutrition), I am not a certified dietician. Nutritional information provided is based on the application used and may not be 100% accurate.
Recipe Development And Testing
We have four criteria when deciding if a recipe is good enough to go on The Big Man’s World:
- Simplicity– Great food doesn’t have to be complicated. My recipes use minimal ingredients for maximum flavor—think 3-ingredient cookies or 4-ingredient potato soup. I also embrace time-saving tools like air fryers and the Ninja Creami to make cooking even easier.
- Quality Ingredients– My recipes are based on fresh produce, proteins, and whole foods. I prioritize minimally processed ingredients and encourage cooking from scratch whenever possible.
- Dietary Alternatives– My site supports a variety of healthy eating styles. Many recipes include substitutions for vegan, gluten-free, and keto options, so you can adapt them to your needs.
- Seasonality– Cooking with in-season ingredients ensures freshness and affordability. From cozy winter stews to refreshing summer salads, I provide recipes for every time of year.
Once I have an idea for a dish, my team and I draft the recipe, starting with ingredients and testing step by step. It usually takes a few tries to perfect—balancing flavor, health, and ease—resulting in plenty of leftovers that friends and family happily enjoy.
To maximize our time, we test multiple recipes at once, often using seasonal ingredients. We document everything in real-time (as seen in my Instagram reels) and, once satisfied, refine my notes into a complete blog post with substitutes and nutritional details.
