This keto smoothie is thick and creamy, with fresh strawberry flavor in every sip. Made with 3 ingredients and only 2 grams of net carbs per serving!

Few things get me out of bed faster than the promise of a light and refreshing strawberry smoothie.
My keto smoothie recipe uses strawberries (my favorite low-carb fruit!) and transforms it into a creamy smoothie. It has the texture and flavor of soft-serve ice cream, but like guilt-free ice cream, that’s actually good for you!
The trick I found to making a low-carb smoothie taste good is to add something that adds richness. After testing nut butters (too overpowering), coconut oil (greasy), and all heavy cream (way too rich), I found the answer in one of my favorite keto sweets: keto condensed milk. It adds a subtle richness and sweetness, which complements the strawberry-flavored milk.

Why I love this keto strawberry smoothie

- Made with 3 ingredients. Not including the ice, all you need is milk, condensed milk (or yogurt), and strawberries!
- Naturally sweetened. There are no bananas, no syrups, no sweeteners, nada. All the sweetness comes naturally from the strawberries.
- Easy to customize. I’ve made this smoothie a million different ways, and as long as you get the proper ratio of ingredients, it’s guaranteed to taste divine. I’ll include a bunch of options below.
- A healthy treat. Strawberries are naturally high in fiber and antioxidants while being low in carbs and calories. It’s a win-win!
★★★★★ REVIEW
“This smoothie recipe is AMAZING and so simple to make. My husband and I LOVE it. I made the keto condensed milk, and I think that’s the game-changer. Thanks so much for sharing.” – Rita
Key Ingredients
The complete list with measurements is in the recipe card below.
- Milk. I use unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk, but any keto milk will work.
- Keto condensed milk. Just a little bit for extra richness, sweetness, AND thickness. I used sugar free condensed milk. You can also use full-fat Greek yogurt. If you do the yogurt route, I do recommend adding a pinch of allulose for sweetness.
- Ice. Crushed ice gives the smoothie thickness and bulk without added carbs or calories!
- Strawberries. Since we’re adding ice, you can use fresh or frozen strawberries.
How to make a keto smoothie
Step 1- Blend. In a high-speed blender, add the milk, condensed milk, and ice cubes. Blend until combined, then add the strawberries and blend until smooth.
Step 2- Serve. Pour the mixture into four glasses and enjoy.

Arman’s recipe tips
- Make it even creamier. While I personally didn’t love it, you can swap the milk for heavy cream or canned unsweetened coconut milk.
- Bulk it up. Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder. I like using Optimum Nutrition vanilla, which has less than a gram of net carbs per scoop.
- Add a touch of sweetness. I know I said this smoothie doesn’t NEED sweetener, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add it because you want to. Give the smoothie a taste and add a little allulose, monk fruit, or keto maple syrup, if you think it’s needed.
- Add some healthy fats, like avocado, chia seeds, flax seeds, or MCT oil.
Flavor variations
Here are some other fun low-carb smoothie flavors to try:
- Mixed berry. Swap the strawberries for a combination of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
- Chocolate. Add 2-3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Spinach. Add 1-2 cups of baby spinach leaves, 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and a few sprigs of fresh mint leaves.
- Strawberry cheesecake. Add 2 tablespoons of softened cream cheese and swap the milk for heavy cream.
- Strawberry almond butter. Add 2 tablespoons of almond butter (or any nut butter you like).

excellent…. can’t wait to make it
Please do, Rochelle- it’s such a thick and creamy smoothie!
On your recipes’ it always has 1 serving for the serving size. How much is 1 serving? Is 1 serving the total of the finished product?
EVG- I’m so sorry, please ignore the four cups, we adapted the recipe to be one single serving.
This is one of my go-to keto breakfast recipes, because it actually tastes good and not artificial.
Hi Annette- I appreciate your lovely review and kind words. Yes, that does happen with many keto smoothies where it lacks sweetness, thickness, or all-around texture!
