Why you’ll love this recipe
- Incredible pairing. The combination of soft cream and crunchy Oreos makes this dip irresistibly delicious.
- Quick and easy. You can whip up this recipe in minutes in just two easy steps. No baking is required!
- 4 ingredients. This is the quick and easy dessert I make when I’m short on time, BUT I want to impress others.
- Easy to customize. Change up the Oreo cookie flavors, add chocolate chips, or swirl through some caramel- the possibilities are endless!
Ingredients needed
As mentioned earlier, this recipe needs just four simple ingredients to make. Here is what it calls for:
- Cream. Heavy cream thins out the cream cheese’s thickness while also balancing its natural tartness. Heavy whipping cream works well, too.
- Cream cheese. Provides the base for the dip. Choose a good quality cream cheese from a block, like Philadelphia, for the best texture. Avoid low-fat or fat-free cream cheese, as it won’t soften or hold the dip together.
- Confectioners sugar. Adds sweetness but also thins out the mixture to make it super fluffy.
- Oreo cookies. Or any sandwich cookies of choice.
How to make Oreo dip
With no chilling time needed, this oreo cookie dip will take just 5 minutes to make!
- Whip the cream. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream until stiff peaks form.
- Mix all the ingredients. Mix the cream cheese with the confectioners’ sugar in a separate bowl. Fold through the whipped cream, followed by the crushed Oreos. Serve immediately.
Tips to make the best recipe
- Use full-fat cream cheese. This will give your dip a richer, creamier texture.
- Crush the Oreos to your desired consistency. Some people prefer a smooth dip, while others like to have chunks of Oreos.
- If you’re short on time, you can use store-bought whipped cream. Just be sure to thaw it completely before adding it to the dip.
- If you want a smoother dip, you can use a food processor to crush the Oreos. Just be careful not to overprocess them, or you’ll end up with a paste.
Storage instructions
To store. Place leftovers in an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to three days.
To make ahead. You can make this dip up to four days in advance. If it has thickened, you can add everything to a food processor and pulse for 10-20 seconds.

Hi Arman!
This looks insanely delicious!!!
But I’m curious as to what Paleo protein powder you used? (I thought that protein powders were off limits).
And what is a Paleo Nutella cookie? Where do you find them???
Hi Michelle! sure thing- If you go to my ‘shop’ page, it lists the paleo friendly protein powder I use! 🙂 https://thebigmansworld.com/shop/
For the paleo nutella cookies, I used my recipe here- https://thebigmansworld.com/2014/09/12/4-ingredient-paleo-nutella-cookies/
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate it… I’ve been wanting a protein powder so bad. And I should have read your story more in depth, because it clearly says for the Nutella cookie recipe click here..(sorry) ? I was just too excited over the ice cream!!! Lol… I can’t wait to try it!!!
I made a giant bowl of this for breakfast– so yummy! Thank you for sharing!
Hell yes! Thanks so much, Courtney!
Hands down, CHOCOLATE. But, if you add peanut butter or put peanut butter in a cake, that will be my favorite too! I’ve also taken a liking for pies–pumpkin to be specific! I’m sure that you have similar cake dip recipes on your blog, too! I’ll definitely look into this one!
It doesn’t say how much vanilla extract in the ingredient list.
Apologies Cindy- It is 1/4 tsp. I’ll make the amendments 🙂
Chocolate cake is definitely my favorite, but cheesecake is also super tasty. I can’t wait to try this recipe – it’d make a great post workout snack. 🙂
It definitely does- Thanks Elaine 🙂
Your blog always puts a smile on my face! Some ingredients are tough to find here in Holland but most times iT works Well.
Naw, thanks so much Lilian- This means so much 🙂 I’m always happy to provide alternatives anytime so just let me know 🙂
HOW. How do you keep on coming up with ideas like this!?
Niki is just like my mom. Mom would say, “cheese is supposed to be on pasta, not in cake.” More for my brother and me!
Carrot cake all. the. way. Still absolutely dying to make your recipe for that. 🙂
DON’T make it. Hahaha you deserve something delicious. Coming soon 😉
Oh em eff gee, this looks amazing. It is happening. <3 Pinning for hopeful future kitchen experiments!!!
Thanks Farrah! Enjoy!
“Yes, I am taking care of myself and drinking water with lemon upon waking” <– I call shenanigans ? And it's all chocolate cake, all the time. Oh! Wait. Black Forest. But that's basically chocolate cake with sentimental memories tossed in ?
Ohhhhh I could go a slice of that now!
1. Spoon found now give me this dip. 2. I can’t even understand the “no Oreos on hand” remark. What? 3. My fave cheesecake ever is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough at Cheesecake Factory, Try it!
OMG. Done. When I was there, I had a raspberry one then felt sick 🙁 I was so sad so finished it off the nect day.
Ps. Your blog is being super slow these days – even typing this comment is painfully slow!
Noted! I’m changing ad networks!
Funny story – today’s overnight protein oats took on a very cake-batter like texture (I used Vega Sport mocha) and while I was eating it, I thought to myself, “this seems like something Arman would make”
LOL. You probably threw it out because you thought it had too many carbs.
Officially booking you a plane ticket to Louisiana so you can make me ALL THE THINGS
LOL. I’m so confused with all the American named states… I thought you were in LA!
All dips are sized for one person if you are up to the challenge…
Amen. Wise words, mate!
Good GOD Arman, this is ridiculous. I need this all over my face.
😀 YES!
Oooh I love cheesecake. Especially original NY cheesecake. I like some of the flavored ones, but honestly good ol’ plain cheesecake is my favorite.
As for cookies and cream, it’s always been a favorite of mine. I went through a pretty serious oreo phase several years ago, so this dip is looking prettttty good.
Plain cheesecake is where it’s AT!
I hope you are not on team thin oreo. Those things are lies!
Seriously YUM! i’m all about some cookies and creme and for breakfast- sign me up everytime!!
Consider yourself signed! Thanks Sam!
I would devour this bowl, I am all about cookies and cream.
Thanks so much, Amy! Have a fantastic day today!
favourite cake ever?! I feel like that’s one of the hardest questions you could ask. Cheesecake is awesome. But so is ice cream cream cake. And really dense chocolate cake. And basically anything with buttercream frosting….I like cake.
I like it!
My favorite cake is probably carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I love cream cheese frosting, but honestly do not like cheese cake. GASP I KNOW RIGHT?! If I had to choose I would probably say peanut butter cheesecake just because it masks the cheese flavor =P
ooooo I need to hunt down a peanut butter cheesecake! Have a fantastic day today, Ellie!
OMG that looks so good. I only got into cheesecake a couple of years ago, and now it’s my favourite type of cake. What a waste of the first quarter of my life.
The generic ones at Gloria Jeans etc…BOMB.
Thank you so much for the shoutout, Arman! Little Robbie (uh, I mean little Arman) is doing quite well. Dad would be doing much, much better if he had some of this dip though! It looks awesome, and I just want to faceplant that bowl. That is allowed, right? 🙂
Dude, don’t be silly. I need that Cheesecake.
Actually, I need that savory one. Okay both.
The foodgasms we will be creating together… I can’t even think about it!
😀 Naughty pine cone!
Cookies and cream dip for breakfast…what a treat! Amazing that it is so healthy too, so you don’t even have to feel like you’re indulging!
Exactly! So good, you could have two 😀
You have a huge sweet tooth, I think! How about some quick one serving healthy soups? Or quick and easy take-out type recipes, or one serving copy-cats?????
Hey Annie! I do enjoy sharing sweet recipes! I do have some savory ones too!
Living the dream. The only thing I’d be dipping would be my finger. So yummy. And since its for one I wouldn’t have to share 🙂
Exactly! Thanks so much, Debbie!
No cheesecake for me – not a fan at all – but I’ll take this any day. My favourite way to enjoy Cookies and Cream so far has been the aptly named ice cream flavour from our local Italian-owned scoop store. Where do I apply to become a taste teser for all of your healthy dips ;)??
mmmmm ice cream would be great!
F**k me.
Rude! 😀
O.M.G. this looks to good to be try. I have no idea how you do it! Isn’t if funny how life points us to certain foods?
Haha thanks Megan! I try and be original 🙂
Cheesecake is way up there and my favorite used to be cookie dough flavor from CF. By how this looks, you’d really never guess how healthy it is – amazing 🙂
Right? Thanks so much Michele!
