My keto peanut butter bars are the perfect low-carb treat. They’re soft and chewy, and you don’t even need the oven! Only 2 grams of net carbs.

My Keto Peanut Butter Bars taste like Reese’s

I’ve lost count of how many peanut butter desserts I’ve shared over the years, but these low carb peanut butter bars are still one of the easiest. They take just a few minutes to make, and every time I make a batch, they disappear within a day or two.
With a soft, fudgy peanut butter filling and a thick layer of sugar free chocolate, they taste like a homemade Reese’s peanut butter cup. Here’s why I love making them:
- Just 3 main ingredients. All you need is peanut butter, sugar free syrup, and coconut flour.
- No baking required. Mix everything together, chill, and let the fridge do the rest.
- 3 grams of net carbs. And that includes the chocolate topping!

Key Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need, along with my kitchen notes. Full measurements are in the recipe card below.
- Peanut butter. Look for drippy, smooth peanut butter with no added sugar. If it’s a little firm, microwave it for 20-30 seconds to soften. Any nut or seed butter can be substituted- I often make these with almond butter.
- Keto maple syrup. For sweetness and to bind the other ingredients.
- Coconut flour. My favorite no-bake flour that thickens the dough and keeps the bars soft and cakey. I also had some success with blanched almond flour, though if you go this route, you’ll need to add double the amount.
- Sugar-free chocolate chips. Optional, but if you want a peanut butter chocolate bar, drizzle some over the bars.
How to make keto peanut butter bars
Step 1- Prep. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
Step 2- Mix the dough. In a large mixing bowl, add all of the ingredients (except the chocolate, if using) and stir to combine. If the batter is too thin, add more coconut flour.
Step 3- Shape. Pour the batter into the lined pan and press firmly in place. If desired, melt the chocolate chips and spread on top of the peanut butter layer.
Step 4- Chill. Refrigerate the bars for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Arman’s recipe tips
- Adjust the consistency. Depending on the brand of peanut butter I use, the bar batter is sometimes too thin to hold its shape. If this happens, add more coconut flour or keto powdered sweetener.
- Add butter to the chocolate layer. While optional, I find a few tablespoons of melted butter keeps the chocolate layer from becoming brittle.
Storage instructions
To store: Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one month.
To freeze: Place the bars in a Ziploc bag and store them in the freezer for up to six months.

Sounds like something to take for Memorial Day.
These would be so good for memorial day- What a lovely idea, Sondra!
This recipe sounds delicious and easy because if your directions for this. Thank you for posting it. I plan to make this. 👍
Please do, Sandra! I hope you enjoy them, they are such a delicious treat 🙂
hi! your recipes are great! Can honey be substituted for the maple syrup?
Yes, it can be! These bars just won’t be keto friendly if you do- unless you use my keto honey. 🙂
Hi this recipe looks so yummy. Thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome, Salinder!
Yum!!! Plus no baking ❤️
It sure is, Carrie! Thanks for making my recipe!
These are my go to snack that I always have in the fridge 24/7. So quick & easy to make, and being a peanut butter lover I never tire of the taste. I add a couple of tablespoons of thickened cream to the chocolate so it’s more like ganache. That way when they are cut the chocolate top doesn’t crack. Thanks Arman.
It’s wonderful
Thank you Steve! Glad you enjoyed these.
Can I fix this with Regular ingredients?
Hi Alana, if you search my website for “peanut butter bars” you’ll see a few different recipes. Some that use more traditional ingredients too. This recipe is specifically for those on a keto diet, so it doesn’t require any fixing.
OMGOSH I love this so much. I let it sit overnight and it was even better!
Delicious!!!! Thank you for your kindness and recipes! Perfection
Can I use OAT FLOUR instead?
Hi Norma, this is a low carb recipe so oat flour might not be the best substitute here but if you do go ahead with it, you might just need a little more than the coconut flour quantity. Probably 3/4 cup. Let us know how you go 🙂
Delicious. I toasted some pecans in butter, then sprinkled them on top before drizzling the chocolate on. Amazing! The family went crazy for it.
Needs metric measurements. Using cups is stupid, it depends on how big a cup is. I have big and small cups at home.
Hi Dai, we’re working on updating all recipes with metrics at the moment but until then we use US customary cups. Perhaps you have one of them amongst your cup collection?
Excellent.
