My homemade keto gummies are made with 3 ingredients and taste EXACTLY like regular gummies, just with zero added sugar and zero guilt. 1 gram of net carbs per serving.

As kids, we’d each get to pick our own candy at the theater. My sister would usually get something with chocolate, but me? It was gummy bears all the way!
Sadly, gummy bears are like 99% sugar, so they’d definitely kick you out of ketosis. That’s where my sugar-free gummies come in. They’re as soft, chewy, and fruity as regular gummy bears, just sans added sugar.
Table of Contents
Why I love this recipe
- Only 3 ingredients. And one of those is literally water…
- Endless ways to customize. As many flavors of sugar-free Jello you can find–that’s how many gummy flavors you can make.
- They take minutes to make. Just combine the ingredients and pour them into your bear molds. Half an hour in the fridge, and they’re ready to enjoy!
- Healthier. They’re sugar-free, low-carb, and low-calorie. This means they’ll help with weight loss, AND they won’t spike your blood sugar levels.
Ingredients needed
- Sugar-free Jello mix. I used raspberry, lime, orange, and peach, but go ahead and use whatever flavors you want!
- Unflavored gelatin. Thickens the gummy bears and keeps them firm at room temperature.
- Water. You’ll need boiling hot water.
How to make keto gummies
I’ve included step-by-step photos below to make this recipe easy to follow at home. For the full printable recipe instructions and ingredient quantities, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Step 1- Mix dry ingredients. Set out 4 bowls and add 1 jello packet to each, plus 2 envelopes of gelatin. Set the gummy bear molds onto a lined baking sheet.
Step 2- Add water. Pour boiling water into each bowl and whisk to combine.
Step 3- Pour into molds. Use a liquid dropper to portion the mixture into the bear molds.
Step 4- Chill. Refrigerate the molds for 20-30 minutes. Then, pop out the gummies and enjoy!
Arman’s recipe tips
- Make them vegan. Swap the gelatin for agar agar and refer to the directions on the box for instructions on how to use it.
- Adjust the sweetness. Taste the gummy bear mixture and add granulated sweetener (I prefer allulose) until it suits your taste buds.
- Let them chill overnight. If possible, I find letting the bears firm up overnight yields the best texture.
Variations
- Make sour gummy bears. Add 1-2 tablespoons of a sugar-free powdered drink mix, like Kool-Aid. If I go this route, I like to toss the bears in granulated sweetener.
- Give them a health boost. Add 1-2 tablespoons of a sugar-free electrolyte mix (like sugar-free Liquid IV) or unflavored collagen. I made electrolyte gummies the other day and I SWEAR my headache immediately disappeared!
- Make apple cider gummies. Swap ⅓ of the water for raw apple cider vinegar. I find this gives them a more tart flavor–and it helps alleviate nausea and stomach problems.
- Add natural extracts, like lemon extract or vanilla extract, for added flavor.
Storage instructions
To store: These gummy bears should be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for a few weeks.
To freeze: Place the gummies in a shallow container or ziplock bag and store them in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Frequently asked questions

Wooow! This is actually very easy to make. I want for the first time!
Thank you for sending me recipes. All of them are great!
Where did you find sugar free pineapple jello? Thanks
The brand is aeroplane jelly.
Curious if anyone has added an electrolyte powder to these. Would they set up right? I was thinking strawberry jello with some salted watermelon LMNT sounded amazing. I want something that I can use like Clif Blocks etc.
Thiis looks like a great recipe. If I make it with all four flavors, what constitutes a serving?
Divide everything by 4!
I followe the recipe exactly. These things are amazing!
These are fabulous!
I couldn’t wait to make these and only had 1 box of sf jello and 1 package of knox jello –
It worked perfectly! Too perfectly! I ate them all in one sitting!
These were fab!
Such a good low carb and low sugar snack!
Can’t stop eating them LOL Fantastic and so quick and easy! The grandkids will love these. Thanks for a great recipe.
The boxes of jello I have are either 0.37 ounce or 6 ounces. You said to use 4.3 ounce boxes. How should I do this?
This came out excellent! Instead of separating the flavors, I mixed together sugar-free lime, raspberry, strawberry, cherry, and 1/2 of citric acid. Additionally, since aspartame in the sugar-free gelatin is not suitable for us AND because it has that nasty back taste, I added 1/3 a cup of allulose-monk fruit blend and 1 extra pack of unflavored gelatine to account for the extra moisture allulose provides. There was absolutely NO residual “sugar-free” back taste because of the allulose-monfruit blend. It turned out fabulous! I made it again tonight. I love this method. Thanks for the recipe!
I made these and they are delicious!! My lime ones are turning out a little grainy, like they haven’t been mixed well but it was completely dissolved when I let it cool and put into the molds. Do you have any suggestions or has this happened to you? All the other flavors I’ve tried work great!
These are SO great!! I was surprised at how good they came out!! I used sugar-free raspberry jello & to make them sour I added blue raspberry lemonade kool-aid powder. Definitely satisfied my sour gummy cravings. I am about to make more& try different flavor combos!
Delicious. I wont cheat anymore 🙂 I added erythritol to mine. My issue was the dropper wouldn’t work and got sticky. I had to be creative and use a spoon…..a bit messy but came out looking great! Do you know why the dropper did not work?
Love it! Was wondering if you ever tried making it with diet sodas / and had any tips?
Have had great luck doing keto, but have been looking for a go-to for the sweet snack cravings that doesn’t come out of a box from the low-carb aisle at WM. Most advertised “sugar free” gummies still have carbs so wasn’t even interested in them. Googled keto snacks for when going to the movies and saw a list that had keto gummies in it. Found 3 recipes, but Arman, yours was the easiest so I gave it a try. All I can say, is WOW! I have found my go-to! I figured I would make a batch before I decided to Amazon it and get gummy molds, but had to find something to put them in to set up. Best thing I could come up with was a non-stick mini-muffin pan (24 muffins). Mixed 1 serving, then poured about a 1/4″ in the muffin slots. 1 serving (1 sugar free jello/2 gelatin packs) got me 8 muffin slots. So then, went ahead and made 2 more servings to fill the pan. Last night I made 3 more servings. No need for gummy molds – I now have 1/4″ gummy disks (8 per serving) and now will be on the lookout for other flavors of sugar-free jello. Thanks!!!!!
This was fantastic!!! I bought some gummy bear, frog, monkey molds from JoAnn Fabrics and I added sugar free lemon aid/crystal light to it and the ones with the crystal light were my favorite! Thx for such a unique & easy recipe!
Hi everyone. I’m in Australia. Thank you for this recipe. I don’t use an individual shaped mould. I just pour it into a mini loaf pan and then cut it up with a knife. One sachet of jelly (Aeroplane Jelly Lite contains 2 sachets; there are 9 flavours available) with 14gms gelatine plus 1/3 cup water will make 16 pieces. I weigh the gelatine and add the sachet, then put hot water into a glass jug and sprinkle, stir, sprinkle, stir the powder into the water so it doesn’t go gluggy, and then put it in the microwave for about 35-40 seconds on high until it starts to bubble around the edge. I then stir with the same spoon I used at the start (it will have some mix stuck on it) until it is all mixed up well and then pour into one section of the mini loaf pan. The pan will need to be on a solid flat surface. I use a plastic bread board which is about the same size as the loaf pan.
Hi there,These look soooo fab!! Is there an alternatvie to gelatin for vegetarians please?
Not that I’ve tried 🙂
Maybe xanthan gum? I do not know how much you would use, but it is used in vegan products as a stabilizer and thickner.
Try agar-agar? That’s what’s used in a lot of Asian jelly-like foods, made from seaweed.
How much citric acid would you add to make them sour?
Do you think they will freeze dry? Making astronaut bears
I don’t see why not!
Best gummy recipe I found. The first one I tried the jello was too concentrated. The second one was a weird texture. This was just right! I added a pinch of citric acid for some extra tartness.
Can we use beef gelatin?
I don’t see why not!
A 5!!! Amazing and so easy! Thanks
So easy and turned out perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Added citric acid for sour gummies!!!
How much citric acid did you add??
These are very delicious thank you for the recipe. But do I have to keep them in the refrigerator or can they be stored at room temperature?
Love these! Question though when I put them in the refrigerator they get super firm, can you leave them out or do you have a secret to keep them from getting too firm/hard? Thanks
Hi! Just thawed they are soft and chewy 🙂
Where did you find the sugar free pineapple? I have looked and that’s the one flavor I want but can’t find.
Hi! The brand is aeroplane jelly.
Oh excellent, so then the packets of unflavored gelatin would be about 2.25 teaspoons each if measured out? I didn’t know about the Knox gelatin packets, I’d gotten a pound of the loose kind off of Amazon so I was trying to figure out measurements. Thank you for your fast response!
Hi there, they look good but where did you find 3.5 oz boxes of jello that aren’t pudding? All I see are .3 or .6 oz boxes. Also, I have loose gelatin powder as opposed to packets… would that be 14oz per flavor if making 4 different flavors? Thanks 😊
Kimberly- I have no brain, it is .3!
Where do you get 3.5 oz packages of sugar-free Jell-O? I can only find .3oz or 1.8 oz.
Thanks!
Hi Michelle apologies- I’m changing it now, it is .3oz not 3.5!
I can’t find the 3.5oz sugar free gelatin packs anywhere…is it .35oz possibly??
YES! Sorry I have no brain today, I will fix the recipe card
These were great. Easy and a good sugar craving fix. Thank you Arman. Love your recipes.
So welcome! 🙂
Thank you!
Where do you get the gummy molds?
Amazon 🙂 or even dollar stores!
These things are so addictive. Please tell us how many gummies are in one serving?
The entire batch is 4 servings 🙂
I would love to know how many gummies are in one serving?
I haven’t individually counted the gummies 🙂 When you make the entire batch, divide it by 4
Hi, I ended up getting about 8 rows of 10 for each flavor/serving. So, 80 gummy bears per flavor. It varied slightly from flavor to flavor. And, I’d say it can also be different for you depending on the size molds you got.
