My keto garlic bread features layers of fresh garlic, herbs, and melty cheese baked onto fluffy low-carb bread. It’s cheesy, garlicky, buttery, and ready in just 15 minutes.

If you thought garlic bread and a low-carb diet didn’t go together, think again. My keto garlic bread recipe will have you swayed.
For this recipe, I infuse garlic into the low-carb bread dough and bake it with garlic butter for good measure. Of course, everything is better with cheese, so I generously sprinkle it on top before baking. It tastes like any good garlic bread, and even those who don’t follow a low-carb diet can’t tell the difference.

★★★★★ REVIEW
“I made this for my BF, who is on Keto. We both loved it! It tastes like something from a pizzeria.” – Kasandra
Key Ingredients
- Almond flour. You’ll want to use blanched almond flour, not almond meal. This will help give the bread a lighter texture.
- Garlic powder. Since we’re adding plenty of salt to the recipe, make sure to use garlic powder, not garlic salt.
- Mozzarella cheese. To mix with the yogurt and add flexibility to the dough. Either freshly shredded or pre-shredded is fine.
- Greek yogurt. To soften the dough. I used plain, non-fat Greek yogurt, but full-fat yogurt, sour cream, or cream cheese would also work.
- Egg. This binds the other ingredients.
- Topping. Butter, fresh garlic, Italian herbs, and parmesan cheese.

How to make keto garlic bread
Step 1- Prep. In a large bowl, combine flour and garlic powder.
Step 2- Melt the cheese. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the cheese and yogurt. Whisk until smooth.
Step 3- Make the dough. Mix the cheese mixture with the dry ingredients. Mix in the eggs until you have a thin dough. Transfer the dough to the lined baking sheet and flatten it into an oval shape.
Step 4- Bake. In a small bowl, stir melted butter, garlic, and herbs. Brush the garlic butter on the dough and bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and serve.

Arman’s recipe tips
- Microwave until the cheese melts completely. You want a smooth, even yogurt mixture, so mixing it into a cohesive dough is easier.
- Add the cheese mixture quickly. The longer the cheese cools, the harder it will be to mix into the almond flour. If it seizes up before you’ve added the flour, just pop it back in the microwave to soften it.
- Make garlic breadsticks. Slice the freshly baked bread into strips with a pizza cutter.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil for fresh flavor and color.
Storage instructions
To store: Leftover garlic bread should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
To freeze: Place the bread in a ziplock bag and freeze for up to 6 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Frequently asked questions
I wouldn’t recommend making this recipe with other types of flour, especially coconut flour. Coconut flour is very absorbent, and without changing the ratio of wet ingredients, you could end up with a very dry dough.
I prefer using mozzarella cheese as it has less moisture than other cheeses and is mildly flavored. I tested this with different cheeses, and while it worked, the cheese flavor was a little overpowering.
